OBE-Bechtler Ensemble CD available soon.

We are excited to announce that our joint CD project between OBE and the Bechtler Ensemble is set for release from Albany Records! The CD will be titled Reflections on the Firebird and will feature new compositions by John Allemeier, Craig Bove, Leonard Mark Lewis, and Ronald Keith Parks. The performers feature members of the Out of Bounds Ensemble and the Bechtler Ensemble. The conductor for the recording session was Alan Yamamoto and the recording and mastering engineer was Fred Story of Concentric Studios. We hope you will pick up a copy when it is released.

This project is the result of a collaboration between the Bechtler Ensemble, OBE, the Bechtler Museum of Modern Art, the Arts Council of York County, Winthrop University’s Sponsored Research and Programs Grants, and anonymous donors. Thank you to all who made this CD release possible!

We hope you enjoy the CD.

Charlotte New Music Festival a Success for OBE!

Greetings Charlotte New Music Festival friends.

Three concerts of new music in two weeks! Whew… The Out of Bounds Ensemble residency at the Charlotte New Music Festival was a huge success. OBE performed three concerts of new works by CNMF participants and guest composers during the 2017 Charlotte New Music Festival. The founding and core members of OBE want to thank everyone who helped to make CNMF 2017 a success. The participants were engaged, eager to learn, curious (good traits for any artist), and wrote some amazing music for us, thank you. We sincerely hope that our residency at the 2017 CNMF helped to promote new music, served as an opportunity for us to share our collective experience with participants (and learn from them), and helped to  continue to build a community dedicated to supporting music as a living art form. Follow us on Facebook and visit our web site often at outofboundsmusic.org

Please keep in touch!

Warm regards,

OBE founding and core members.
